will help fund recreational activities at ProAct Shakopee
Unique balloons and candy gifts sold by ProAct in Shakopee could be the best answer of what to get for one’s Valentine. Proceeds from the February 14 sale will help fund 2020 community exploration activities for participants with disabilities.
The sale runs from 8 a.m. to 1 pm at the Scott County Government Center, 200 4th Avenue West, in Room 102. For staff working in the center, pre-orders can be placed one day in advance. “Modest prices will help share the love with your Valentines of all ages,” said Ali Brown, manager of ProAct in Shakopee. The balloons are provided by Anagram and an anonymous donor provided a large helium tank to fill them. Last year the sale netted nearly $1,400 for animal and music therapy, theater experiences, boat cruises and other activities.
