Comedy Night at Shakopee Bowl

Jason Schommer is a standup comedian and storyteller who spent two years as the opening act for comedy legend Louie Anderson in Las Vegas and continues to tour with Louie regularly. As a stand up comic Jason has performed all over the USA as well as Canada and Japan and has worked with such comedy superstars as Chris Kattan, Josh Blue and Tim Meadows. Minnesota’s own comedy icon Louie Anderson says “Jason is funny, clever, smart, and on his way to the big time!”. Always unpredictable on stage, Jason keeps the audience on the edge of their seat with his high energy and quick wit while pointing out the insanity of the world we live in during a night of face paced laughs and hilarious and outrageous stories. Jason’s unique style and relatable material has made him one of the region’s favorite entertainers. Laugh-until-you-cry stories combine with playful one liners as Jason covers a wide array of topics ranging from the daily struggles of life and his loveable, yet kooky, Minnesotan family. A regular performer at The Moth, Jason has won numerous Story Slam competitions and was invited to perform at the Grand Slam at The Fitzgerald Theatre in St. Paul. Jason has worked in New York City for The Rosie O’Donnell Show and for Richard Frankel Productions, a Broadway Producer. Jason recently released his first live comedy album Confessions of a Local Celebrity and worked behind the scenes in Hollywood as a stand in for Louie Anderson in the FX television series Baskets. Jason was a popular feature on K102 Country Music Morning Show with “From the Trailer” and KFAN radio as the gossip and entertainment reporter. He has also appeared numerous times on Cities97, KDWB, and KQ92.
