The Lettsworth, Louisiana native started his career working as the house guitarist at Chess Records, forming musical alliances with Muddy Waters and Junior Wells. Buddy Guy quickly gained notoriety for his guitar prowess and went on to influence generations of legendary guitarists and blues musicians. His most recent solo studio album, “The Blues Is Alive and Well,” showcases his famous raw and unadulterated blues sound and his trademark stinging electric guitar solos. It’s the latest triumph in the 83-year-old’s legendary career, earning him a Grammy for Best Blues Album.
