2021 Twin Cities Summer Jam

Music lovers know that summertime means one thing: festival season!  This year, add Twin Cities Summer Jam to your calendar for a weekend of music, camping, and fun in Shakopee, Minnesota. This year’s headliners include Lynyrd Skynyrd, Carrie Underwood, and Zac Brown Band!

Full 2021 Lineup

Twin Cities Summer Jam was founded in 2018 as the first multi-day, multi-genre music festival in the Twin Cities.  Over the years, the festival has included top country, rock, and pop acts—whatever music you like, you’ll find something you enjoy at Summer Jam.

Twin Cities Summer Jam will be held July 22 – 24 at Canterbury Park in Shakopee.  Although it might be best known as a live horse racing venue, Canterbury Park is perfect for a music festival: the infield of the racing track can accommodate over 25,000 fans each night.  Plus, there’s plenty of onsite parking and Canterbury Park is easy to access via Highway 169.  Attendees even have access to the park’s indoor, air conditioned facilities for relief from the heat or inclement weather.

Ready to start planning your Summer Jam experience?  Pick from a couple of ticket options: a single-day ticket (Thursday, Friday, or Saturday) or a three-day ticket (Thursday through Saturday).  Tickets can be purchased online, and payment plans are available.  Note that tickets are for one person only and cannot be shared.

If you purchase a three-day ticket, you have access to an additional perk—on-site camping!  Campgrounds are within walking distance from the festival, and a free shuttle to the concert entrance is also available.  Keep in mind that each camper must have their own three-day ticket and a camping wristband.  If you’re attending Summer Jam with a group, you can request adjacent campsites.

For a more budget-friendly option, select a spot at the Barenscheer Campground.  Your campsite will include access to bathrooms and showers.

Check out the Premium Campground for a more upscale experience.  Campsites feature electrical hookups and free ice.  Plus, when you take the shuttle you’ll be able to jump to the front of the line.

If camping isn’t your thing, don’t worry—there are plenty of nearby hotels to choose from.  Holiday Inn Express & Suites Shakopee is the official Summer Jam hotel partner.  Take advantage of special rates for festival attendees, a free shuttle to and from the festival, and a convenient location less than half mile from Canterbury Park.
