The Minnesota Zoo in Apple Valley feature 2,900 animals and 504 species from around the world.
The Minnesota Zoo offers stunning exhibits that provide uncommon experiences with animals and their habitats. You’ll discover more than 4,200 animals representing over 500 species from five continents in naturalistic settings including Amur tigers, Chinese takins, South African penguins, wolverines and many other rare and endangered species. Popular exhibits include Discovery Bay, Russia’s Grizzly Coast, Tropics Trail, Wells Fargo Family Farm, 3M Penguins of the African Coast and the Medtronic Minnesota Trail.
Two new exciting exhibits/attractions are scheduled for 2015: A new Hawaiian Seal Habitat is scheduled to open this Spring. Monk Seals are extremely endangered with less than 1,500 still remaining in the wild and the MN Zoo will be the 2nd zoo to display these animals. Monk Seal Habitat will feature five seals and a twenty-foot dive pool.
The Minnesota Zoo is also working to add an Adventure Park with multiple ropes courses outside the zoo entrance for families to enjoy during their visit.
